Guild of Guardians, in collaboration with Guardians Guild Limited, has announced the upcoming global launch event called “Age of the Dread.” This event is set to bring new gameplay elements and significant rewards for players. Scheduled to run from May 15 to June 9, the event boasts a staggering prize pool of up to US$1 million in $GOG tokens and exclusive Founder NFTs. This marks the beginning of the game’s global release, with the “Age of the Dread” event serving as the Act 1 phase.
One of the key highlights of the “Age of the Dread” event is the Endless Leaderboard Challenge, where 70% of the prizes will be up for grabs. Players can maximize their chances by participating in up to four daily runs. The remaining 30% of the prize pool will be distributed among the Arena & Boss Rush Challenges, giving players five daily runs to climb the ranks and claim their rewards. To take part in the leaderboard challenges, players need to log in and head to the designated challenge area where they can start competing by completing runs to earn points.
Chris Clay, the Game Director for Guild of Guardians, expressed his excitement about the launch event, stating, “We’re thrilled to kick off Age of the Dread and offer players over US$1 million equivalent in total prizes up for grabs. Players can expect to earn Ascendant Seals, which are used to enhance Guardians and make them more powerful, as well as $GOG tokens, which are key in-game rewards. Initially available as rewards and through in-app purchases, players will receive $GOG tokens two weeks into the game. These tokens can be used to purchase Ascendant Seals or kept as part of their digital currency collection.
The leaderboard rewards prizes based on player performance, with higher points leading to a higher position on the leaderboard and increased chances of winning prizes. Founder NFTs, exclusive digital collectibles, are created for game founders and top performers on the leaderboard. Players can earn these NFTs by reaching specific milestones or achieving high rankings in the game.
Guild of Guardians is set to launch the highly anticipated “Age of the Dread” event in collaboration with Guardians Guild Limited from May 15 to June 9.
